Through active, playful activities, children in this class begin to understand important musical elements such as tempo, rhythm, pitch, and dynamics.
By age three, children are developing their singing voices, making song exploration a key part of the curriculum. Activities are designed to build cognitive skills, including recognizing musical patterns, focusing on essential elements of music, and understanding connections across different artistic forms, all while fostering individual and group creativity.
Socialization and personal growth are supported through group engagement.
During the first 5-6 classes, a caregiver joins the child, gradually stepping back as the child becomes ready to participate independently, based on guidance from the Smart Start teacher.
