About Us

Erika Sudirga is a dedicated musician, teacher, and accompanist with a commitment to nurturing a love of music in children, families, and adults. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honours in Music from York University, where she specialized in piano pedagogy and improvisation. With over 15 years of teaching experience, she shares her expertise through Suzuki philosophy and method. Erika is the founder and director of Cadence Music Academy (formerly Ellerslie Piano Studio) and has taught many students in the North York area. She has successfully guided students to achieve First Class Honours and First Class Honours with Distinction in the RCM Certificate Program. She is also a trained teacher and licensed provider of the Royal Conservatory’s Smart Start™ program. Above all, Erika’s vision is to raise a generation of musicians whose experiences foster personal growth, resilience, and a lifelong love of the arts.

Beyond teaching, Erika is an active piano accompanist, collaborating with instrumentalists and vocalists across a wide range of performances. She also serves as a church pianist, regularly contributing to Sunday services. Outside of her musical work, Erika is a busy mom of two and the proud owner of a senior Westie. She enjoys family life (chauffeuring included!), traveling, and exploring different cultures. Through her work, Erika continues to build a supportive community of families and musicians who embrace music as an integral part of life.
